I saw him turn on the outside lights, so I got up to make sure everything was okay. We had left the dinghy in the water overnight, and one of the painters was stuck on what we assumed to be Sabado’s propeller. We got the boat hook out and tried to free it, with no luck… (read more)
The block for our jib sheet broke and caused the line cover to chafe. We replaced the block and repaired the portion of the affected line. The replacement block was $120, and we had to sail back to St. Thomas to get it. A friend let us borrow their car, so we didn’t need to pay for a taxi to pick it up.
The furling line for the jib got pulled down into the drum so that we couldn’t furl in the jib… (read more)
